The Minnesota Twins traded outfielder Carlos Gomez to the Milwaukee Brewers for shortstop J.J. Hardy Friday.

Hardy batted .229 with 16 doubles and 11 home runs in 2009. He had 47 RBIs in 117 games. He was selected to the National League All-Star team in 2007.
